Since I spent 14 days traveling Route 66 and it is such a popular topic, I thought over the next couple of weeks, I would post some of the images I made. If you like Americana, old cars, old trucks, abandoned motels and relics of the past, you should enjoy these images.
Today, I'll start with one of my favorite places to photograph along Route 66, Hackberry, Arizona. Hackberry is located between Seligman and Kingman. In reality, Hackberry is basically a small, very unique general store with a few other buildings on its grounds. Not much else around it. However, if you love photographing the subjects I mentioned above, do not pass this little place by.
I made a number of images that I really like in Hackberry. I will post half today and the other half in my next post.

The Hackberry General Store. Other than a couple of adjacent garages, a small house next door and lots of 'stuff' to photograph on the grounds, this is about it for Hackberry! (click to enlarge) |

When was the last time you saw an authentic "Burma Shave" sign? Or a Rambler American? (click to enlarge) |

In my next post, I will show you some additional favorite images from Hackberry. Hackberry really has some of the richest photographic opportunities along Route 66.
