A New Photography Blog Recommendation

There is a new* photography blog out that I believe is worthy of reading.  I want to recommend it to any of you who enjoy photography, value hearing from an independent, highly successful professional commercial, travel, humanitarian and landscape photographer and author who has 50 years of experience and writes from the heart.  Even with 50 years of photography experience myself, I find his words and thoughts of great value when thinking about how I can improve my photography.  We should never stop learning and growing and Mr. Jenkins is now on my list of those who I find of value.  Also, I find he writes about interesting topics others don't cover.

For those of you who are Fujifilm users, he is as well.  (See, professional photographers can use and be successful with cameras that are not full frame!)

The blog is called "A Life in Photography" and the author is Dave Jenkins, a Georgia based commercial photographer and author.  Once before I wrote about Mr. Jenkins' work.  He has previously published an excellent book entitled, "Backroads and Byways of Georgia; Drives, Day Trips and Weekend Excursions."  I have the book and it is a wonderfully written and illustrated guide if you are like me and like to get out, get on the back roads, into the countryside to those out of the way places to find all of those interesting photography subjects that others pass by.

I've corresponded with Mr. Jenkins and I have found him a very pleasant and well informed individual who values helping others and encourages those who want to improve their craft.

I would encourage you to take a look at his website.  You may find it as interesting as do I.

*new only in the sense that Dave has resurrected his old blog that has been idle for several years.

Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
