Since this is my favorite time of the year, both generally as well as photographically, I thought I would try something a bit different from my usual content for a change in pace. For the next few weeks I plan on posting a fall foliage photograph each day, with the exception of Mondays as Monochrome Monday will still be in effect.
I love the colors of autumn. I love how the air has cleared and how the humidity and temperatures have dropped. I love the crisp, cool mornings, the early signs of the first frost and the cobalt blue skies. It is though mother nature is taking a long, deep, cleansing breath to clear away the busy summer in preparation for the cold winter ahead..
There won't be a lot of narrative to go with the images posted nor 'lessons learned' or any thing about the gear I used to make the photos. But if you ask, I will respond to questions and comments about gear. Frankly, I'm hoping you'll come to the site, see the image I posted that day, spend a minute or two looking at it, and just enjoy the short experience.
This image is from Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
