Me·mo·ri·al Day
/məˈmôrēəl ˌdā/
noun
- a day on which those who died in active military service are remembered, traditionally observed on May 30 but now officially observed on the last Monday in May.
Too many men and women have died in too many wars. Our mere gratitude can never be enough to offer to those who gave their final full measure.
For those of you in the United States, as a sign of respect and gratitude, please fly your American flag as a symbol of recognition of the sacrifice our men and women have made on our behalf.
I find it rather sad that too many people ignore the meaning of today and only look forward to a day off from work or sales at stores. Don't be one of them.
