Monochrome Monday; Holga Photography; Country Store And Fuel Pumps

Country Store and gasoline pumps. (click to enlarge)

Another monochrome image from my series of photographs using a Holga camera.

I had driven past this old, abandoned country store on Route 40 in Sussex County Virginia many times.  On more than one occasion, I stopped and made photographs.  Each time I stopped, I took notice of what changed from my last visit and how the building and surroundings were slowly falling into further disrepair and dilapidation.  Still, it is an interesting scene.  On this occasion, I used the Holga camera to record the composition before me as I thought it was a fitting subject.

For those of you who might be interested, the gasoline pumps are branded "American" and "Atlantic."  If you also look closely, you can see a Volkswagen van under the roof to the left and in the upper right, an old fashioned television antenna.

If you want to find out a bit more about my use of the Holga, as well as the Holga itself, you can see another post and image here.
