What will your future hold? Will it be a smooth ride or a bit bumpy? No one knows. (click to enlarge) |
It's a new year. I wish you and your loved ones a good one. Better than any other. I guess I should formally say, "Happy New Year!" just to be traditional.
I'm a firm believer in the philosophy that you are largely the architect of your own destiny. You are the one who has more control than anyone else over how your next year unfolds. You can set goals and a plan to achieve them or you can sit back and let time pass. Use your power wisely.
There are three things you can never get back. Time, the spoken word and an opportunity. Time is lost forever so spend it wisely. Once you say something, you may wish you could take it back, but you can't. It's out there forever. Yes, opportunities come and go, but a specific opportunity at a specific time under specific circumstances will never arise again. Why? Because that pesky time has passed.
The new year is also a good time to check your gear, clean it, reformat your memory cards and adjust your camera's clocks to the correct time. You never know what opportunity may appear before you and your need to be ready. Don't miss it!
Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
