The Exmore Diner, Exmore, Virginia. If you are nearby, you must stop and eat here. I like the sign as well. "Open Mo days." lol. (click to enlarge) |
This is the Exmore Diner. All original. Since 1954. Located in Exmore, Virginia in Virginia's Eastern Shore, it is a throwback to times of old, so to speak. Not only is the diner a great photographic subject, but the food is fresh, tastes really good and the helpings are plentiful! Add to that the servers are friendly, have good senses of humor and seem to enjoy their jobs. Even better, the prices are as low or lower as I've seen anywhere. What more could you ask for?
During my December trip to photograph birds and wildlife, my friends and I stopped at the Exmore Diner twice. Yes, after the first time, the food was so good, we stopped on the way home.
By the way, I have no affiliation whatsoever with the Exmore Diner. I'm just passing along what I found and thought if any of you are ever traveling U.S. Route 13 on the Eastern Shore, you may want to treat yourself.
