Memorial Day 2023

Veteran's Cemetery, Hampton, Virginia (click to enlarge)

In the United States, today we celebrate Memorial Day.

Me·mo·ri·al Day
/məˈmôrēəl ˌdā/

noun
  1. "a day on which those who died in active military service are remembered, traditionally observed on May 30 but now officially observed on the last Monday in May."

Too many have died in too many wars.  Mere gratitude can never be enough as an offering to those who gave their lives.

For those of you in the United States, please fly your flag as a symbol of recognition of the sacrifice the men and women of the United States Armed Forces have made on our behalf.  Too many people ignore the meaning of today and only look forward to a day off from work or sales at stores.
