Colonial Williamsburg Walkabout; Part II

Monday was one of those rare summer days we occasionally have around here in which the sun was shining, the sky was blue, the humidity was relatively low and the temperatures were in the 70s F (~22-27 C).  A perfect day to get out, go for a walk with my camera and wander.  But where?

Colonial Williamsburg is a great place to visit.  It is historically very significant and is visually rich in content and, it is not far from my home.  So, off I went.
You can read Part I and see more images here.

None of these images are anything to write home about.  I would classify them more as "record" shots or even "brochure" photos.  Nothing really outstanding or unusual about any of them.  They are mere images of things that caught my eye as I wandered about.

All images were made with a Nikon Z7 and the 24-70mm f/4 S lens handheld.  You can "click to enlarge" any and all images.

I couldn't get close enough as this little out building was in the private back yard of a resident,
however, this is a good example of why a sensor with lots of pixels can come in handy.
This is a 24mp crop of the original 45mp file.

Finally, I saw these young women being taught how to properly throw a hatchet!  I think I'll stay clear of these young ladies as they may be now dangerous!  Lol.

The purpose of my little walkabout was not to find and create masterpiece images, as none of these certainly are, but simply to be outside with my camera on a nice day in an interesting place.  I can highly recommend this kind of activity.

If you are interested in many, many seeing more Colonial Williamsburg images I have made over the past three decades, I have a gallery on my website where they are displayed.  If you have an inkling that you may want to visit Colonial Williamsburg, the gallery can give you an idea of the types of images that you can make.

And...for those of you wondering, yes, I did recently purchase a Nikon Z7 with the 24-70mm f/4 lens and FTZ adatper.  Hmmm?  More on that in the near future.
