When analyzing my lens use, I almost never use my prime lenses, even though, nostalgically speaking, I bought them to use on a regular basis. I grew up in photography strictly using primes. As I have written in the past, zooms were horrible in the early and mid-1970s. Prime lenses is what one who cared about their photography used. I still have an affinity for primes, but... Face it, I'm zoom lens photographer. So my primes sit and are never used.
I hate to have all of these lenses sitting in their boxes not being used so a few days ago I decided to sell off most of my prime lenses. I find that I have the Olympus 12-100mm f/4 PRO lens on my E-M1 Mark II 95% of the time. I'm going to sell some lenses but I'm keeping the remainder of my M4/3 gear to use. What I don't have in one system, I'll have with the other. In other words, I'm reducing much of my duplication in lenses.
To tell you how little use my lenses have had, with the exception of wildlife shots with my 300mm lens, I couldn't even illustrate this post with a shot made with one of the prime lenses I'm selling as the only images I have using them are test shots! I've not used them for my photography.
All of my lenses are in excellent condition—really like new. All come with the original box and everything that was supplied by Olympus when purchased. All were purchased new from B and H with the exception of the 75mm f/1.8 lens which I purchased certified reconditioned from Olympus. All glass is perfect. As I mentioned, with the exception of the 300mm f/4 PRO lens, they have been used to test for sharpness and centering when I received them, otherwise, they have been in a case or the box. Those lenses that did not come with lens hoods (and Olympus is notorious for not including them), I purchased hoods separately and will include them at no extra charge.
No bidding. No paying a commission to eBay. Straight sale. Continental USA only. The difference is that you know me, know my work and my values as opposed to buying something from someone anonymous out there who you really don't know.
I will leave this up for a week for anyone who wants to contact me and purchase a lens, then what I have not sold here, I will put on eBay, Craig's List, Offer Up or another venue. If you are interested in one or more lenses and/or want to check my past eBay sales, contact me and I'll provide you with my eBay username. My gmail address is my first and last name run together (dennismook). I've been an eBay member since October 1998. I don't buy or sell often but I've never had anything but 100% positive reviews. Also, I have made photos of each piece I'm selling so if you want to see what a particular lens looks like, I can attached high quality images to an email.
I will only ship to the continental United States (sorry those of you who are overseas, Canada or Mexico) and I will pay shipping. Transactions can be done through PayPal (or I will accept a United States Postal Service Money Order and ship after I receive it) and I normally ship USPS Priority 2 or 3 day service, whichever the post office offers to your area. If using PayPal, I will only ship to the registered PayPal address.
Here is the gear I'm selling. Most lenses are currently on sale. The B and H prices listed are the current sales prices for comparison. All lenses are black. None are silver.
