It's That Time Again; Very Important

Just FYI.

It's that time of the year again.  If you routinely set the calendar and clock in your camera(s) and you live in a location that practices standard time/daylight savings time, move the clocks back one hour on each of your cameras. It is much easier to change the time now than have to go back into your files and modify the metadata.

I don't know if there are any digital cameras that automatically change time twice per year, but mine don't.  So, yesterday I rolled the clocks back one hour on my Fujifilm and Olympus cameras, synchronizing them all.  Synchronized camera clocks has really come in handy in the past for me when uploading and displaying files in Lightroom.  If I have used more than one camera when out photographing the image files all stay in the order in which they were made.

Just a reminder!

  1. Ayyyy! Gracias! Ya know, I've never enabled the WiFi feature on my camera. Maybe I'll do that and see if the time will update from the WiFi in the house.

    1. It may but wifi uses a lot of battery power. You may not wan to leave it on permanently.
