Last Thursday, Fujifilm released Firmware 4.0 for their X-T2 mirrorless camera.  Evidently, there are a couple of "bugs" that have been identified in the software and will take time to fix.  As a result, Fujifilm is giving owners the option of rolling back their camera's firmware to v3.0 by way of releasing firmware v4.01 until they can release a "bug free" version.  If you want to rollback your camera you can obtain v4.01 here.

When I was experimenting with the Focus Bracketing feature, I did experience one of the identified "bugs."  My viewfinder was, I'll call it, "jittering" or what Fujfilm calls "flicker" whenever I pushed the shutter button halfway.  I noticed it immediately.  It didn't seem to affect the camera function or my exposures in any other way but be a visual distraction.

I normally don't upload new camera firmware or computer software until I see whether or not any bugs are found by the early adopters.  In this case, I think I installed it a couple of days too soon.  But, as with so many things with Fujifilm, they immediately took steps to make us owners "whole" again by giving us the opportunity to temporarily go back to the previous firmware version and keep full use of our cameras.  Thank you Fujifilm.
