For Sale; Pro Grade Nikon Lenses in LN Condition
www.dennismook.com
In keeping with my desire to simplify, reduce weight and bulk (I'm in my 60s and am getting fatigued by the weight I now carry for many hours), I have decided to part with some of my favorite lenses so I can downsize. I find I pick up my Olympus Micro 4/3 kit more often than the Nikons so I thought I would divest myself of some of my Nikon gear, but also keep a bit of it. The Olympus system gives me great quality images at about 1/3 the weight and bulk but it doesn't yet match the Nikon images.
Each of these lenses has been gently and carefully used, never abused. Each has been kept out of the weather and clean. I believe that if you treat your tools well, they will serve you for a long, long time.
I have everything that came from Nikon with the lenses. Each has its box, packaging, lens pouch, lens caps, hood, papers, etc. They are all official U.S.A. imports. I had submitted the warranties, however, since there was a special offer to receive 5 years vs. 1 year at the time. I purchased each of these lenses brand new and I am the only owner.
The glass is perfect, the aperture blades are clean and work smoothly. The focusing ring and zoom ring are smooth in their operation. If there are any marks, they are minute as I said each has been handled carefully and gently. There is nothing wrong with any of these lenses. If there was, I wouldn't sell it or I would fully disclose it. There may or may not be a very minor mark or two on the lens barrel, but those, if any, are of no consequence to their use or the images they can produce. If you want perfect, buy new and pay much more. Much more.
No sales outside of the U.S.A. If you are outside the U.S.A., you will need to find someone here to which I can ship the lenses. I have done that for a friend overseas and it works well. Add shipping and insurance (if you want insurance) to the price. I will accept cash (if you are local to SE Virginia) or United States Postal Service Money Orders. No other form of payment will be accepted. I have a 100% positive feedback (63 ratings) on Ebay (DAM152) and have been a member of Ebay since October 1998, even though I haven't used Ebay much lately. It is sometimes easier to sell outside of Ebay. I am a retired police chief and I guarantee everything will be as described and I will ship the same day I receive the money order to anywhere in the U.S. You can Google my name and find out a lot about me, if you want more information. I expect we should communicate so I can answer your questions about the lenses. If you wish, I can supply larger images of each lens and an image made with each one so you can see the quality each can produce. Each one of these lenses is capable of making professional images.
What doesn't sell through this blog in the next two weeks will go first to Craig's List, then to Ebay.
Nikon 70-200mm F/2.8G ED AF-S VRII; Serial #US20012xxx; $1900
Nikon 24-70mm F/2.8G ED AF-S; Serial #US292xxx; $1400
Nikon 28-300mm F/3.5-5.6G ED VR; Serial #US56010xxx; $800
(I have used this lens on my D800E and my D700 with wonderful results. Don't let anyone tell you that this lens is not up to snuff. It may just be my copy but I was extremely happy with the images I made with it on my D800E, which is a finicky camera when it comes to lenses.)
Thanks for looking.
Enjoy!

SUPER nice lenses, Chief, and I can't disagree that the prices are wayyyy below new lens prices. Your offers make me wish I wasn't already overloaded with equipment. As overloaded with lenses as I am, nevertheless, those two lenses with f/2.8 make my mouth water.
