Fall 2025 Road Trip; Halfway

This is a continuation of my series of posts about my recent, fall 2025, cross country and back road trip, primarily following Route 66 west.  

Somewhere in Texas (Adrian, to be exact) is the halfway point between Chicago and Los Angeles.  It isn't a big place.  In fact, there is just a hotel, cafe and curio shop noting the midpoint in our journey.

Midpoint Cafe.  Unfortunately, each time we have stopped here, this
place has been closed.  We just arrived at the wrong times, evidently.

The Fabulous 40 Motel!  They seemed pretty busy when we were there.

I love these old signs, especially with an interesting sky for a background.

We didn’t do much in Texas.  I did miss one place I wanted to photograph.  I missed it twice before as well.  It is a small group of buildings, half in Texas and the other half in New Mexico.  I guess I’ll have to return.  Now, on to New Mexico!
