If you’ve been following my blog, you've seen this path with the S-curves before. I've made several photographs of it in all four seasons. All color. But I had never photographed it visualizing the final images in black & white. So, I thought I would take a stab at it.
The day was a very bright, late summer day. The sun was almost directly overhead, but forward of my position making this scene was slightly backlit. Wow! I couldn't ask for worse light! What to do?
Monochrome and high contrast was my answer. Why try to make something out of the composition that wasn't really there? So, I took advantage of the harsh light and came up with this. I like it. I hope you do as well.
Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
