I saw this and thought it would fit nicely in my “Just For The Color” long term project. You can see the images for that project on my website here. But what is it?
When my wife and I were on our recent cross-country road trip, we made a stop in Paducah, Kentucky. My wife is a quilter and they have a lot of quilt related stuff there. After dinner, on our way back to our hotel, we passed a shopping mall that looked quite busy. I haven’t seen that much anymore. I thought malls were pretty much gone now. Not this one. We stopped and walked inside to see what stores were there.
While walking past a Best Buy electronics store, this and another one just like it were attached to the wall in the mall’s corridor area. Huh? I thought it was interesting for its color and as somewhat of an abstract as it is hard to tell exactly what it is without context.
I made a couple of images with my iPhone and we walked on.
The center is a video monitor that displays a photograph. The photos rotated among several. This particular photograph showed a waterfall in the background with a pool of turquoise water in the foreground.
Nothing special but another example of keeping your eyes open for different things that may make interesting images.
Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
