It was one of those cold, clear blue sky winter days the other day so I grabbed the Nikon Zf and the prime lenses and wandered through the countryside looking for something interesting to photograph. I happened upon this small farm with the wonderfully shiny silos and thought I would make a few photos. I thought these were perfect for black & white.

Same camera. Same settings but with the 40mm f/2 lens. (click to enlarge) |
On the other side of the silos, I found this scene. Again, cobalt blue sky that goes black, high contrast and lots of textures. Perfect for black & white.

Nothing special in this three images. Sometimes I just like to post photographs instead of long narratives about technical or photographic topics. I like how these subjects render in black and white. I also made some color exposures of the same subjects but those don't really reflect my vision for the subjects.
Grab your camera, get out and exercise your vision and shutter finger. You'll feel better!
Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
