Monochrome Monday; Thurmond Is Not What It Once Was

I think it is fitting that the day I made this photograph it rained.  Bad weather.  Bad luck.  Bad timing.  Symbolically, what's left of Thurmond, West Virginia is due to the same.  Bad luck and bad timing.  The only reason there is anything still standing is because it is now part of the National Park System.

Very interesting place to visit and photograph.

Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
