Your Daily Dose Of Fall Foliage; Number 11

1960s Ford Thunderbird.  An interesting feature of this era Thunderbird is the steering wheel
swivels about 30ยบ to the right, allowing easier exit and entry to the vehicle. (click to enlarge)

"What's the word?  Thunderbird!  What's the price?  Fifty twice!."

For those of you of a certain age and region growing up in the U.S., you might remember that phrase.  When I was in college/university (1969-73), it referred to a really cheap wine that cost about $1.00 US.  It was on the same level as the infamous Boone's Farm wine.  That was about all most young college students could afford.

Looking back, drinking rotgut wine I now find is humorous, immature and in a way, sad.  But, before your brain is fully developed, one tends to do dumb things.  Hopefully, as one gets older, doing stupid things ceases—or should.

As far is this photo is concerned, I made it in Ashland, Virginia.  The building in the background is the Amtrak railroad station and Visitor’s center.
