Everyone who is reading this, I would wager, is using spinning hard disk drives (HDD), solid state drives (SSD), SDXC or CFExpress memory cards, thumb drives or optical disks (CD, DVD) to record and store data from your computer, camera, or other electronic devices. Rightly so as they are well engineered and very reliable. Additionally, the cost per megabyte of storage is inexpensive.
Do you wonder what the life expectancy is of those various types of drives themselves and also wonder how long your data will remain on those drives without being compromised (data integrity)? If so, you may find this YouTube video interesting. I found it informative and valuable for examining my own storage habits.
