Monochrome Monday; Wooden Boat

In the small town of Wachapreague, Virginia there was this little harbor scene.  The unfortunate term here is 'was.'  Often times, as I wandered the back roads of Virginia's Eastern Shore, I would stop in Wachapreague and see what I could find to photograph.  I seemed to always find something interesting mostly related to oystering, the water and where the water meets the land.

This old wooden boat made a nice composition.  Sadly, this scene has been now replaced with several modern piers.  However, if one looks closely, the 'carcass' of what's left of this boat is still visible in the muddy shoreline.

Another reason to photograph things as you find them as they may not be there if you plan to return.
