Who says you can't photograph a sunset in black and white?
One evening in January 2004, I was on the way home from work and saw these five ladies standing at the edge of the river watching the sunset. I quickly stopped, grabbed my camera and made only one exposure. The gestures of the ladies make this image much better than if it were only the dead tree and sunset alone.
I bought the Minolta DIMAGE A1 in late 2003. It was a 5mp non-interchangeable lens mirrorless camera. Even then I was a 'mirrorless' camera fan. That said, the EVF was atrocious! It had 0.2mp EVF and the refresh rate was slow enough that you could leave and buy a cup of coffee and come back! Lol. It would fire off at a blazing 2.8fps and continue until you made 3 full frames! Yet, I loved the idea of my image being seen in the EVF before pressing the shutter button.
All those primitive specifications don't matter as I was able to make this photo. I made many other fine images with that camera and enjoyed it. I still have the camera. Recently, I charged the battery and it still works!
Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
