I love this old film image of a fresh snow blanketing an old oak tree. This tree is no longer standing, unfortunately. I'm glad I stopped to make the photo when I did—around 1998-99.
I suggest you spend some time going through your old film archives. You might be amazed as to what you find that you have totally forgotten about.

Brent, thank you so much for your kind words. I’ve traveled much of the same journey as you in trying to capture the nuances, detailed and textures of snow. I now try to just replicate in the image what I felt about what I saw when pressing the shutter. That makes the photo more meaningful for me in the sense I captured the ‘sense’ of the place and not a Xerox copy of what I saw.
