It's Cotton Pickin' Time You Checked Your Camera's Clock!

What may look like snow is really a cotton field that is ready for picking.  In fact, it's past time for picking. (click to enlarge)

See what I did there?  :-)    Cotton pickin' time....camera clock...cotton field in the image above...  Sometimes I just surprise myself with my cleverness!  Just kidding, of course.

Daylight Savings Time, for those of you who are affected, ends Sunday morning.  Some cameras will automatically change the internal clock back to standard time.  Some won't.  Sometime Sunday you might want to check your camera's clock just to ensure it is still set properly.  Having the correct time in your camera can be important at times.  Also, check your camera clock's setting for accuracy.  Camera clocks can be notoriously inaccurate.

Yes, that is a cotton field and there are many old southern colloquialisms that are prefaced by the phrase, "It's cotton pickin' time…”  After that you add whatever may be relevant.  An example is, "It's cotton pickin' time you got yourself up and out of bed young man!"

Just in the spirit of full disclosure, I cheated nature a bit in this photo.  More on that in my next post.
