Recent Road Trip To Lancaster, Pennsylvania; My Personal Favorite Images From the Trip

This is my favorite image from the entire week.  We were watching this Amish farmer hand hoeing this large field.  I captured several images of him hoeing.  The sky continued to build gorgeous thunderhead cumulus clouds and I kept firing away.  Then he stopped.  He turned and faced the clouds and, it appears to me, that he put his hand over his heart as he looked to the heavens and looked at the clouds.  Perfect!  My best image of the trip. This will wrap it up for the recent Lancaster, Pennsylvania road trip.  I believe these images are my favorites out of all the ones I made—each for a different reason.  If you notice, each includes the human element.  I think the human element can make images more interesting, bring relevance to photographs as well as let the viewer's mind wander in trying to understand what story is being told.

Evidently, these young men were both fishing and swimming.  When we first spotted them as we drove by the creek, they were in the water.  By the time we found a place to park and walk to the creek, they were just starting to get out of the water. At first, I didn't see their fishing gear, but evidently this creek is great for both cooling off on a hot summer day as well as potentially catching dinner!  The idea of a group of guys swimming in a nearby creek brings back childhood memories of a much simpler time in the world.  Very fond memories.

I've now created a gallery on my website of what I believe are the images I feel are good enough to show publicly. Notice I didn't good, excellent, artsy, fantastic or any of those other adjectives, just "good enough", in my opinion.  Here is the link:
