A Comment About Your Comments

First, I hope all of you are safe and none of you, your relatives or friends have caught this nasty Coronavirus.  None of my family, friends nor I have contracted it.  Fingers crossed and we plan on continuing to practice safe "anti-virus" habits even though things have eased up a bit.

Since I started this blog in 2013, I made it my practice to thank each of you who have taken the time to comment and, in many cases, have added to your comments.  I feel it is a little extra I can give to each of you as a way of acknowledging your thoughts and efforts.

The way comments work through Blogger, is that when you leave a comment, I get an email.  In other words, I curate all comments.  Thankfully, I've never gotten a nasty or vile comment but have gotten a few "comments" that were actually spam advertisements disguised as comments.  I don't publish those.  If I ever do get nasty or hateful comments, I won't post those either.

After I read your comment by way of the email notification, I press a "publish" link within the email and your comment is published.  At this point, I typically then write a thank you and, as I mentioned already, might add to your comment.  I almost always do this on my iPad and/or iPhone.

However.....  In the past couple of months, Blogger will not recognize my acknowledgement to your comments.  I type them in the "Reply" box and when I hit "publish." Nothing.  I'll usually try twice.  Nothing.  Blogger won't publish my acknowledgment made from my IOS devices.  So, you are not seeing my thank yous and additional comments.  That is frustrating.  I don't want you to think I'm taking your time and efforts in commenting for granted.  I am thankful for each of your comments.

The only way I can respond, it seems, is if I am sitting in front of a computer and type my responses from there.  Most of the time, I'm not near a computer so I have no way of replying to your comments.

I just wanted all of you to know why you aren't seeing my replies lately.  I don't know why this is happening.  I don't know if it is a function of Google changing something in Blogger or if it is from a change in the IOS software in my phone and tablet.

Rest assured that I am grateful for your comments and please keep them coming.  When you comment it benefits everyone who reads this blog.
