Still Away On My Annual Long Wildlife Weekend

Snow geese in fog and mist. (click to enlarge)
I'm not yet back home from my annual long wildlife photography weekend but will be so later today.  I will have an update with images coming on Thursday.

Just to give you a hint of what's to come, the weather ranged from foggy to misty to rainy to sunny and I used only full frame to photograph.  The questions become what camera and lenses did I use?  Did I mind the weight, size and bulk of full frame after using Olympus and Fujifilm gear the last few years?  Optical viewfinder or EVF? Which do I prefer?  Did my keeper rate get any better?  With the very low light requiring high ISO to freeze action, did the noise in the files become obtrusive?  Could M4/3 or APS-C have worked for me?

The full story on Thursday.

Thanks for looking. Enjoy!

  1. Great image Dennis! I love the subtlety of the image and the near monochromatic look. I have "image envy!"

    1. Jeff, thanks. Back home again. It was an unusual weekend in that we had rain, drizzle, fog, wind off the ocean and then full sun over the span of Friday to Monday. I tried to make the most out of the foggy and rainy conditions by also shooting some landscape images along with the wildlife. Don’t have image envy. Go out and make some for yourself! More to come later in the week.
