Weather Can Make A Big Difference; Take 2

Old Point Comfort Light in Ft. Monroe, Virginia overlooking Hampton Roads Harbor (click to enlarge)
Olympus E-M1 Mark II, 12-100mm f/4 lens @ 34mm; 1/320th sec. @ f/8; ISO 200
Basically the same image but with dramatically different weather and light. (click to enlarge)
Fujifilm X-T2, 16-55mm f/2.8 lens @ 55mm; 1.950th sec. @ f/11; ISO 200
The two images above are basically the same.  They both were made from the exact same spot.  The focal lengths are a bit different—68mm~ for the top one and 83mm~ for the bottom one.  But the character of each image is vastly different due to the time of the year (May vs. October) and weather.  They both were taken about the same time during the day.

Lessons to be learned:  If you find places of interest, go back to those same spots over and over during different times of the year, different times of the day and different different weather as the images you make will have quite a different look.

But... in the case of the top most image, I was going for the gathering storm so a vertical composition much better illustrates that.  The horizontal composition, above, is for illustration purposes for this post.  Although I do like it, too.
