We traveled to Richmond, Virginia to do a couple of "photo walks," visit some historical venues as well as to explore some cemetery photography. I've had an ongoing "Cemeteries" project for years and I always like to visit cemeteries to find anything I can add to the unique group of images I have accumulated over the years.
It was a warm, beautiful but humid day, with lots of cumulus clouds and sunshine and we had a great time.
We ate lunch in the Carytown section of Richmond, which reminds me of one of the New York City neighborhoods. It has a lot of energy, many small restaurants in old buildings, coffee shops, murals painted on walls, pedestrian traffic and just busy in every way you can imagine. A neighborhood with renewed character. Not a bland, redeveloped urban area at all.
As we walked in an alley from where I parked my vehicle, we spotted this old sign painted on the brick wall of the back of a restaurant. I chuckled when I read it and understood the nuanced message. I thought you might enjoy it as well.
Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
