In my last blog entry, I posted an image of this church that my wife and serendipitously discovered while on a weekend road trip of wandering through the back roads of rural western Maryland here in the United States.  It was a rainy day and when I first awoke, I thought the day would be lost for photography.  I was a little disappointed to have traveled so far and thought I would not be able to find any worthwhile images.  Little did I know that we would find this delightful subject as well as several others that day.

Since I received several comments and private emails about the last image, I thought I would post a few more made from different viewpoints and with different treatments.  Funny how a photo from one angle makes the day look entirely different from another angle.  In this case, the storm was clearing.  Looking at the church from the south, the sky was just starting to clear but looking north the sky was a lovely azure.

And a repeat of the image with my last post, just for comparison.

Lesson learned:  Don't prejudge your photographic day based upon how you "think" the weather will help or hinder your efforts.

Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
