Cooling off on a hot, humid summer day (click to enlarge) Olympus E-M1 Mark II, 12-100mm f/4 lens @ 100mm; 1/1000th sec. @ f/5; ISO 200; 5 images stitched together |
If you like crowds, you can go to a popular beach and fight the crowds. If you like big waves, you can go to the ocean or one of the Great Lakes. If your style is a bit more relaxed, a beach such as this one on the James River may better suit your style. Not too crowded, not too noisy. Waves are tiny so the little ones can play safely at the water's edge. Different strokes for different folks.
What I like about this particular image is the diverse activities in which the various people are engaged throughout the breadth of the image. A very interesting study on human behavior. Individuals and small groups of individuals each engaged in their own activites and almost oblivious to those around them.
This image is a result of 5 images stitched together in Lightroom CC. It measures 12,620 x 3796 pixels in dimension. All done automatically. As I have said many times, "Isn't technology wonderful?"
Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
