Then you have the blooming plants. They can provide very vivid color for us to enjoy. The image above is an example of one of these types of plants.
I was driving down a small road the other day and the red of this azalea just glowed in the backlight of the sun. It really was bright and very, very red. I couldn't help but notice it off to my side. These two plants stood and were blooming all by themselves. No other bright colors around. The sun was high and from behind on the right and I thought maybe I could make an interesting composition out of this small, otherwise, mundane scene.
I decided to edit this in a more painterly fashion. It reminds me of the Hudson River School of artists. You may or may not like it. I do. The image itself is nothing special but I find the contrast between the bright red and the rest of the scene interesting. Everyone is different.
To me it was worth the stop and time spent admiring the lone color among the budding landscape. That is one of my joys of photography—seeing things others don't and taking time to enjoy them.
Thanks for looking. Enjoy!

I like it Dennis. One of the things I love about spring is the unique color of green that trees exhibit early in the spring season, before settling in to the darker green of late spring/summer. Combined with blue skies it is a pleasant sight.
