What EXIF Data Is Captured In Fuji Cameras

Colonial Home and White Picket Fence (click to enlarge)

Whenever you press the shutter to make an image, your camera captures an immense amount of EXIF Data.  Most of us don't realize just how much.  The amount of data captured is much more comprehensive than you would believe.

Using the freeware EXIFTOOL by Phil Harvey, which can be found here,, I copied and pasted the EXIF data from the above image.

Every bit of this data is contained in your digital image file (I X'ed out the last three digits of a couple of serial numbers of my gear for privacy purposes).  You just have to have the right tools to find and view it.  Having this information can tell you a lot about your photography.  It can also tell others about your photography.  You can decide whether to leave it in or strip it off when converting and sharing your images. Thanks for looking. Enjoy!

    1. I don’t have an answer for you other than it is different from “shutter count,” which would be the number of times the camera’s shutter has been actuated. Sorry.

  3. It could mean that the image is a single exposure, rather than a double or multiple exposure?
