Winter in Colorado

I was out for a drive one day just north of Fraser, Colorado.  A light snow had fallen the day before and it was one of those cold, very crisp days.  Always looking at my surroundings, I happened to see these three horses feeding off to my left.  I stopped and just watched.  They were bunched together and I waited to see if they would provide a bit of separation between them as a compositional element.  As I watched them, I guess they decided they would also watch me. I was amused by their stare as I was probably 30 meters from them, certainly not enough to be a threat.  As there became a slight, momentary separation between the two horses on the left, I made a few images and moved on.

Beautiful Rocky Mountain day, but very cold!

Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
