Favorite Winter Days

My favorite winter days are exactly like the one depicted above.  It is invariably the day after a winter storm, after the front has moved through with clear, cobalt blue skies, crisp fresh air and no wind.  I love how quiet the countryside is with the freshly fallen snow absorbing almost all sounds.  I love the stillness.  I love how the snow blankets everything.  I like how the snow is clean and makes everything look pristine.  I like how the cold, clear air lets the saturated colors though.
