Snow Geese In Formation

Nikon D810, Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6 lens @ 390mm; 1/16ooth sec. @ f/6.3; ISO 200
I plan on writing about the Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6 lens more extensively over the weekend to be posted on Monday.  This week has been very busy and I just have not had time to write much.

However, I thought I would post this "lucky" shot, so to speak, as a formation of 6 snow geese flew almost directly overhead last Saturday morning.  This is an uncropped image.

Even while flying by at a good clip, sometimes things just nicely fall into place.  These birds were part of a large flock of several hundred that were circling in waves and then landing in smaller groups.  If you notice, all of their wings are in a similar "gliding" position as they circled overhead to land.

Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
