View From My Office Window

Made through a very dirty office window!
I am fortunate to have a corner office on a busy river.  River traffic comes and goes all day long.  Military ships, tugboats, barges, pleasure craft, luxury mega-yachts, tour boats, i.e., a little bit of everything.  But to my surprise on Wednesday afternoon, I looked out of window and observed the USCG Cutter Eagle proceeding toward me, pulled by two Navy tugs.  It moored right outside my window!  It has been hard to get any work done these past couple of days.

The Eagle is a magnificent ship.  It is a 295 ft. long barque, with a beam of 39 ft and draws 16 ft. of water.  Built in Germany in 1936 as the SSS Horst Wessel, it became American war booty after WWII.

I had my E-M1 kit in my office and made a few images with the Panasonic 7-14mm f/4 lens, since the sailing vessel was literally 100 ft. from my window.  I also pulled out the Olympus 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO lens to capture some detail shots.  I've posted one image here, but I'll post more over the next couple of days.

Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
