I wanted to show my readers a typical Independence Day parade in an ordinary neighborhood full of good people enjoying the parade, smiling, having fun, living ordinary lives and celebrating the birth of their country. This is the real America.
Many of my images can be found at www.dennismook.com. Please pay it a visit. I add new images regularly. I've just added a gallery featuring all M4/3 images. Soon, I will be adding a gallery of all Fuji X-Trans images. Thank you.
Thanks for looking. Enjoy!

Good to see a traditional 4th of July activity. In far too many communities now Independence Day has become Idiot's Day, with endless accounts of fireworks setting brush fires, burning down homes, blowing off fingers or hands, and injuring children. One guy here in California even electrocuted himself after firing a gun in the air, bringing a power line down on him.
ReplyDeleteNo, no, no! Dennis. This is the America the media doesn't want you to see, and if they show it, it is only to express their contempt for it.
