Summertime Fun; The Old Swimming Hole

This is a scene you no longer often see.  Families swimming in a creek, under an old covered bridge, cooling off and enjoying a warm summer day.

This makes me want to remember simpler times when we didn't worry about terrorists around every corner, the government actually functioned the way it should, news only came on at 6 and 11 p.m. and we didn't walk around continuously staring at an electronic device cupped in our palm. We actually greeted each other with a warm "hello" when meeting another person walking down the sidewalk.

Can you believe it?  Kids actually outside enjoying themselves in nature!
