Fuji X-Ploits; Work Versus Photography

Taken through a really dirty office window!
A few weeks ago, I agreed to come out of retirement and to go back to work, temporarily, to help out one of the two cities from which I was the chief of police.  This has been a good decision and, at the same time, a not so good one.  On the good side, I'm back serving the citizens of the city and am in a position to help people who cannot necessarily help themselves.  There is a lot of personal satisfaction in that.  That is probably the best part of my job.  On the other side of the coin, I have almost no time for myself, my family and my photography.  I do miss that.

Again, made through a very dirty office window!

Considering that I should be working only six or so months, I willingly postpone the personal time and photography to concentrate on helping others.  However, I have no interest in continuing working for the long run.

The only photographs I have had an opportunity to create in the past few weeks are a few of the river commerce out of my office window.  Here are a few of them.

My point of this post is, even when I am extremely busy, most days for 12 hours or so, if I have my camera with me and I keep cognizant of my surroundings, I can find little snippets of time to create something photographically interesting.

Many of my images can be found at www.dennismook.com.  Please pay it a visit.  I add new images regularly. I've just added a gallery featuring all M4/3 images.  Soon, I will be adding a gallery of all Fuji X-Trans images. Thank you.

Thanks for looking.  Enjoy!
