If my knowledge and math are correct, the names of the months were first used when the Julian calendar was put into use in 45 B.C. That would make this the 2060th January 1st! That is a lot of Happy New Years!
We now use the Gregorian calendar as the year is more accurate at 356.2425 days versus the Julian at 365.25 days. As we all know, the earth is slightly slowing down as it revolves around the sun so I wonder how long it will be before they change the calculations for a year?
Happy New Year!
Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
