What Do You Want for Your Photographic Christmas?

For my readers who celebrate Christmas and for my readers who participate in the Christmas gift giving tradition, what do you want, photographically, for Christmas this year?

Do you want that new camera body?  Maybe a Nikon D810, D750 or Canon 1DX or Sony A7r?  How about a new Fujifilm X or Olympus/Panasonic M4/3 camera?  Or, is it a new lens?  That super telephoto or that super wide angle?  Macro?  Something different, perhaps?

I don't want any gear for Christmas.  Nope.  I have all I need right now.  I can't believe I'm even writing that, but it is true.  Now, that doesn't mean I won't want some in the future as new stuff is introduced or I toy with switching systems as I usually do on occasion.  Nope, don't want any photo gear for Christmas this year.  But, I'll tell you what I really want for Christmas this year.

I would like to have time.  Yes, time.  The one thing that is in short supply and is finite for each of us. I would like to have more time to go out and make images.  I would like to have more time to print my images.  I would like to have more time to attend a photo tour or workshop.  I would like to have more time for more road trips.  Yep, time.  We only get so much of in our lives and it seems to pass by so quickly.  Time, my friends.  Time is always in short supply as the demands of today's life get larger and wider.

How do we get more time?  We can't make time but we can find time.  We just need to do analysis of our lives, how we use our precious time and commit to change.  We can find efficiencies in our everyday lives.  We can prioritize what is important to us. We can scheduling photography or other activities thus making a psychological and physical commitment by writing down our intentions. We can't make time but we can find time.

But, if you have any influence in the Cosmos, I would appreciate you sending some additional time my way.  I would be very grateful!
