Normally, in my area, the peak of the fall foliage season is the second week of November. Late, but I live in SE Virginia near the warming waters of the Gulf Stream in the Atlantic Ocean. So, our weather is moderated by this invisible flow or warm water. To see color this early, even if only a bit, is surprising.
Also, it is almost time for another long road trip! I've got the itch to get out on the vast roads of the U.S. and wander around to see what I can find. I love the prospect of another trip. I'll be preparing and writing about that in the next week or so.

Did I happen to mention that I bought a Nikon D810 last week? More on this camera later.
Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
