Wandered Over to Virginia's Eastern Shore to Photograph

Virginia's and Maryland's Eastern Shore is a wonderful place to photograph.  No matter if you like landscapes, marine environments, the oyster/crabbing/fishing industry, wildlife, rural settings, small towns and their people or photographing where the water meets the land, you will find something of interest to photograph on the Eastern Shore.

Last week I wandered over to Virginia's Eastern Shore to meet a couple of close photographer friends so we could spend the day hanging out together as well as photographing.  I believe the camaraderie of photography is about as satisfying as photographing itself. Especially the guys I hang with.  We enjoy solving the world's problems, talking photography, aggravating each other, eating breakfast at small, local restaurants and just laughing together.  Well, that is what I did one day last week.  Since I live in a region that has about 1.7 million inhabitants, wandering around the Eastern Shore is a pleasure as it is a throwback to the 1960s.

I recommend, if you ever have an opportunity to visit the Eastern shore, you get off the main road, Route 13, and explore the back roads.  Get a really detailed map and hit the country roads, the small towns that are really not much more than a crossroads, the wetlands, the wildlife sanctuaries, etc. and enjoy exploring the area thoroughly.

Here are a few images I made from the Eastern Shore for your viewing pleasure.  Some were made last week and some were made in previous trips.

Thanks for looking.  Enjoy!
