For you photographers who like to photograph wildlife and birds from your vehicle, I have to say that this device has been the one item that has improved my 'hit rate' more than new cameras, better lenses, improved focus algorithms or lots of additional practice. It just works.
I first saw this being used on Steve Mattheis YouTube channel. Mattheis is a wildlife photographer based out of Jackson, Wyoming. By the way, he is excellent! He photographs extensively in Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park.
To describe how it is designed, I would say it is like an upward saddle shape on top that parallels your vehicle's door with a downward facing saddle, turned 90 degrees below it. By varying the amount of filler, you will find it can be used in a variety of ways.
A variety of substances can be used to fill this bean bag. I bought a couple of 10 lb. bags of dried pinto beans. But you can use artificial plastic beads, rice, or whatever you feel is best. As with most bean bags, if you are traveling, you don't have to fill this up at home and carry the weight and bulk. You can fill it onsite. That way, it folds flat is takes up almost no room in your vehicle or luggage.
I have found it to be very heavy duty, well constructed of quality materials and the zipper is brass. As I said, this one piece of gear has helped my wildlife and bird photography more than anything else I've tried.
DISCLAIMER: I don't have any affiliation with this product, Mr. Morris, Amazon or Mr. Mattheis. I don't have any click through affiliations or advertisements. I purchase everything I recommend with my own money at the same price you would pay. It's just me passing on to you the things I find that work well and meet or exceed my expectations.
Thanks for looking. Enjoy!
