Fuji 56mm f/1.2 R Lens For Sale

Image courtesy of B and H Photo (believed to be a Fuji generated product image)
I'm going to sell my virtually brand new Fuji 56mm f/1.2 R lens.  Why?  I thought I would use it more, but I don't think I'll be using it enough to justify keeping it.  The same may apply to my Fuji 14mm f/2.8.  I've almost never used it as well.  I've been using zooms 99% of the time and haven't used my primes much.  I have the 55/56mm focal length covered pretty well with the 16-55mm f/2.8 and 50-140mm f/2.8 lenses.

Everything that Fuji shipped with the lens is intact. (click to enlarge)
I took delivery of the 56mm f/1.2 R about 6 weeks ago (December 18, 2016).  I bought it new from B and H, an official U.S. import.  I've used the lens twice.  One time was to thoroughly test it out to ensure it is sharp across the image field, focuses automatically and manually as it should and to ensure the aperture blades function properly at all apertures.  I'm happy to say it works perfectly.  The other time I used it was to try it out in a real life situation—my 4-year old granddaughter's birthday party in January.  If you haven't been to a 4-year old's party lately, treat yourself to some real chaos!  Other than that, it has been wrapped up in a lens sleeve and sitting in a rolling camera case.

Often times I buy cameras and/or lenses so I can write about them on this blog, then share my knowledge and images with you.  This is an example of that.

The lens is as pristine as when I received it.  No marks, no issues.  The box, case, cards, hood, front and rear lens caps, user's manual, plastic wrapping in which the lens was packed, everything, is still intact.  Nothing missing.  The difference between buying this from me versus buying from someone unknown is that know what you are getting and from whom here.

The price is $780 plus shipping and insurance.  I will only ship to the 50 United States.  I estimate shipping and insurance to be about $20.  Current price on Amazon Prime is $1027.49, B and H or Adorama is $999.00.  Not a bad discount for a virtually new lens in pristine condition.

If you are interested, please send a comment with your email included.  I won't publish it and I will reply privately or you can email me at this address:  *{dennismook}* aat geemale daht com.  (you see I'm trying to fool the spambots from picking up my email address!  Hope it works.

If you have any questions, just ask.  Also, if you are interested in the 14mm f/2.8, send me a comment with your email included and we can discuss it.  I find myself exclusively using the 10-24mm f/4 for travel and the 14 sits in a rolling camera case unused.

I also have the 35mm f/2 and the 23mm f/1.4 but I plan on keeping those.

I'll leave this up for about a week, then I'll place the 56 for sale on Ebay.

Thanks for looking. Enjoy!

    1. Levi, I'm sorry, but it has been sold. Thanks for asking, however.
