Welcome to The Wandering Lensman Blog!

Hi Everyone,

The serenity of the still of the morning.
I decided to start a blog to record my thoughts and share my photographs.  I have been sending an interesting photograph ( I hope they have been interesting anyway...) almost every Sunday afternoon since 2002 to a large group of friends via email.  I haven't missed many Sundays, but when I have, I usually sent two or more photographs to make up for the failure or inability to send it.

But, as times and lives and circumstances change and evolve, I felt for at least three reasons, for the future, a blog may be a better method of getting thoughts and photographs to those who may have interest than the old email list.  First, by blogging, I am not restricted to only Sundays and only one photograph.  Second, those on my list who may change their email address and forget to notify me (or don't care to receive the mails) are unintentionally dropped from the list and, third, others who may stumble upon this blog can also enjoy the images.  So, let's go through this journey together and see how rough the ride will be.

This is a learning experience for me and I am very excited to learn new technologies and new ways of expressing thought and image.  Thanks for being on the ride with me.  I hope I don't let you down.

For many, many more of my images, please visit www.dennismook.com.  Thank you.

Enjoy!

  1. Nice landscape image Dennis. Love Custer State Park. Visited the first time during the Nlets annual a few years ago and also did The Badlands, Spearfish Canyon and Deadwood. The canoe is also really cool.
